By-Keri is a Michigan-based studio for FLORIS framed botanical art made with laminated natural leaves and flowers, and CULCITA one-of-a-kind handmade quilts.

The FLORIS process
Every leaf and flower is already a small work of art. FLORIS preserves that natural character through careful lamination and presentation in hand-selected wood or clear acrylic frames.
How each FLORIS piece comes together
Leaves, flowers, ferns, grasses, and seed heads are chosen for shape, color, and how beautifully they can press.
Materials are prepared so veins, edges, and natural color remain visible in the finished composition.
Each layout is built by hand, with larger leaves anchoring the piece and tiny stems adding movement.
The final work is sealed into a durable format that is easy to gift, display, and enjoy.
From Keri’s worktable
Preserving · 1–2 weeks
Choose flexible, unblemished leaves, layer them with absorbent paper, and let time preserve every vein and color.
↗Printing · 1–2 hours
Use the veined side of favorite leaves to make painterly impressions on paper, linen, or keepsake cards.
↗Composing · 2–3 hours
Arrange shape, scale, and color into animals, landscapes, or abstract patterns, then seal the finished composition.

FLORIS began with Keri’s lifelong habit of gathering Michigan flowers and leaves, then preserving them as framed botanical artwork. CULCITA grew from an affection for quilts and the stories held in every seam. Together, they are By-Keri: original work made with patience, warmth, and wonder.
